Carcinomatous degenerations of traumatic scars, known as Marjolin¡¯s ulcer, are relatively rare. The majorities of them were squamous cell carcinoma or basal cell carcinoma. But, fibrosarcoma developing from the burn wound may be extremly rare.
We have experienced 2 cses of fibrosarcoma arising in the chronic ulcer of the burn wound.
First case, a patient, 19 -year-old male, had a round shaped chronic ulcer on the right scapular region and the latent period was 12 years. The lesion was widely excised and skin graft was done.
Second case, a patient, 58 -year-old male, had a round shaped chronic ulcer on the left parietal region and the latent period was 55 years. The lesion was widely excised and skin graft was done.
We reported our experience and reviewed literature.
